Activate or Deactivate Telemetry
In order to get data from your device through a satellite, data communication must be activated. This starts the flow of data, and triggers the start of monthly data fees.
Note: Don't forget to deactivate satellite communication for your device when it is not used to prevent unnecessary monthly data fees.
Sign In (data.pacificgyre.com)
Signing in takes you directly to the dashboard where you can see the latest positions and status data for all transmitting devices
Go to Devices Page
Select the Device option from the hamburger (three horizontal line) button to go to the Devices page.
Select and Activate Device(s)
Your devices are listed on the left hand side of the screen. A number of icons appear under the status column describing whether the device is activated, deactivated, actively transmitting, etc...

Check the box next to the device(s) you would like to activate.
- Select the "Activations" tab on the right side of the screen, then select Activate or Deactivate from the pull-down menu in the Select action box then click the Apply button.
The Iridium device(s) will typically be activated/deactivated/suspended within one hour. Globalstar and CARTHE devices will be queued and activated during regular Pacific Gyre business hours.
